Reached by 4km of well maintained , winding track from Castaras, the finca consists of
28,000 sq.m. of land, mostly hillside, but with terraces below the main cortijo planted with many different types of fruit trees... almond, olive, fig, pear, cherry, orange, lemon, vines, etc. The larger, lived in cortijo is of two levels with separate entrances, with a total habitable area of 140 sq.m. The upper level is a large living area with open plan kitchen, opening onto two south facing terraces with breathtaking views. Stairs lead to the lower level, that consists of a large entrance hall, w.c., shower room, large living room with fireplace, two bedrooms each with a double bed, and a third bedroom/antechamber with a single bed. The whole has been very well restored, and parts of the cortijo have double glazing. There are solar panels on the roof, and the house is wired for electricity. An HT line with transformer is close by, and the cost of connection would be around 5k euros. The main cortijo has permission to build an upper storey, and the roof's structure,( currently with steps leading up to it, making it a large terrace with grand views) was done with this in mind. The second smaller ( about 50 sq.m.) cortijo is currently being used as a stable for four horses, but legally it is a cortijo and could be converted to one. The land is hillside land, but in front and below the house are several terraces, with, at the lowest part of the land, a large paddock/almond grove whose boundary is a small stream ( la rambla de Nieles), with year-round flow. The property has several water rights - three springs, two above the house, including water deposits of 70,000, 1,000 and 500 litres, and acequia ( irrigation water channel) rights of about 12 hours per month.
