cortijo la Cebailla, at an altitude of 1,000m, is set back a little from the road to Nieles, a good tarmac road that carries very little traffic. It was built recently of modern materials to a very high standard. There are two bedrooms, a large living room with open plan kitchen, a large shower room, a utility room and an entrance hall. There is a terrace in front of the house and covered patios behind and to one side. The carpentry is of high quality and the windows are double glazed, the walls are of thermal blocks and the roof incorporates insulating panels. The footprint of the house is 72 sq.m., not including the patios and terrace. A short distance away is a little annexe ( 17 sq.m.) of two rooms, plus a patio, that could be converted to guest accommodation. A little further are 25 sq.m. of stables and a paddock. The land is 6 Ha, mostly mountainside pasture land and scrubland, but around the cortijo and extending down to the road are several thousand square metres of gently sloping arable land. The price includes a second separate plot of terraced arable land, of 2,500 sq.m., on the other side of the road at the west end of the main plot. The location is entirely rural, but is close enough to Nieles ( about 600 m) that the owners have obtained permission for town water and electricity... this they have not taken up as there is abundant irrigation water, from both a spring and an acequia, which also provides domestic needs, and they have solar panels for their electricity. The owners have also documentation prepared for a tourism complex, but this property would serve equally well as a personal holiday or retirement home. The location is very tranquil and scenic... there are very fine views to the south, and the backdrop to the cortijo, the crags of el Pago de la Yesera, is spectacular, and is the home of eagles.
